Fundamentals of LOOP-PRO

Learn Best-Practices of PID Controller Tuning

Audience: This course is intended for anyone who has obtained or has interest in obtaining a license to LOOP-PRO. These individuals, encompassing engineers and technicians, who are responsible for overseeing tuning and maintenance of their plant’s PID control loops.

Prerequisites: Any plant staff responsible for regulatory control level performance. Basic control room experience whether as a technician, operator, or plant engineer is desired but not required.

Materials: To enhance and facilitate your learning experience, the following materials are provided as part of the course package:
Student Manual, which contains the: key concepts, definitions, classroom examples, and course slide deck.

Course Objective: This course is an interactive workshop that covers topics ranging from the basics of installation and configuration thru the application of advanced features for improving PID controller performance. An overview of process dynamics and basics of PID are included to assure effective application of LOOP-PRO.

Using the provided software by Control Station, Inc., students have access to previously installed PCs with the most recent LOOP-PRO software update. All versions of Control Station’s LOOP-PRO software are covered during the course. Students are guaranteed to gain hands-on experience with their software through a variety of workshop exercises that are guided by our tuning experts. To view the entire curriculum, click here.
